Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinctive mix of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. While she resides in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in the church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical instruction began with Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan; it has since been remixed by a variety of producers, and has become a part of her live sets. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. Her role was as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's production Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine came to national attention in the course of four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
